Christmas Party! :)

On the 26th of December, we had our very first Christmas party! Yay!

The party was supposed to start at 5.30pm. But, we as Malysians, have our very famous Malaysian Time ;) So, even though we wrote on the event page 5.30pm, we started the party at around 6.30pm. :) Around 25 of us turned up. We were made up of CF-ers and non-believers. I'm so glad that the non-believers invited we turned up for our party! All glory goes to GOD! AMEN! :)

As it was a gift exchange party, we each brought a gift to be exchanged among ourselves and put it under the Christmas tree! :)

While waiting for the others, we decided to play a game while waiting. We played CHARAEDS. And we had a lot of fun laughing together! :)

During our Chirstmas party, we got to catch up with our ex-CF members! Tze May and Clarissa! :)

Oh! and Tiffany too!(She's the one on the left,btw.) :)

MAKAN TIME!!!

Among all the games we played,this one involves your memory and your skill to prevent being caught by the "monkey" in the middle of the circle. We each had our own individual sign and we a re supposed to pass the sign around without being caughtby the "monkey". :)

Playing games may be fun,but don't forget to pose for the camera,kay? =P

Remember the blankey game we used to play when we attend birthday parties?? Yeah, we played that too during our Chritmas party. :)

SMK Subang Utama CF brings you their first ever Christmas Production : UNCONDITIONAL, an event happening for the first time in SMK Subang Utama, you definitely wouldn't want to miss it!

It's happening at 3pm, to 6.30pm, and all you have to do is:

1) Buy a ticket! It's RM3 for those who buy a ticket before the event, and RM5 for walk-in during the day itself. You could also BOOK a ticket if you are not convenient to pay or get the ticket by yourself, booking starts 17th December 2011.

2) Come for the event! It's going to be held in SMK Subang Utama itself, in 5 Gamma. Don't worry if you can't find the place, our friendly ushers would be more than delighted to help you make your way there!

PEOPLE, get your Christmas hats on! :D
I can't wait till Christmas! :D
Don't just exchange gifts, share stories and experiences and spend time thinking about God in your holidays.
Don't you feel lazy during the hols? I know I do. :/
And it's easy to stay on the computer the whole day without doing our quiet time cause by the time we're out, we're too tired. Sounds familiar?
Go and have your quiet time now! Take at least 5-10 minutes to read the Bible and pray now! :D

Fellow members of CF SMK SEAFIELD. greetings from planet earth!

LOL, hello you guys. I wonder if anyone reads this but ill post it anyways. A few of us went for a camp the other day NSCFL conducted by Scripture Union , it was amazing and we learnt so muchhhhh from there.

All this for what you may ask? :) To help you guys, us, as a CF to be closer to God. And mmhmmm, the things we have in store for you guys next year. You just have to come and find out.

Our prayers are that we'll be able to apply what we've learnt wisely so we can all grow together in God. SO I do hope each and everyone of you will look forward to CF meetings next year. Update soon!

CF SLEEPOVER

Whoa! It's been two weeks since the sleepover! Sorry for not updating!
For those who didn't join us that night, hah! you missed out on a lot :(
Come for our events next year! ;)
So, the sleepover was held at City Harvest's new building. The entrance was so nice I thought it was a hotel and missed it! U-turn. Was a little shocked to see so many people with unknown faces; City Harvest people :) and everyone was eating while the registration table was open and we were greeted by lovely, friendly people! Si Jin and the gang made us feel welcomed there. :D When the event started, the CH people and us CF members were gathered in a room. The praise and worship session was fun! Bryan lead us in the songs and in one song we had to get down till we were flat on our backs or bellies before jumping back up!

Perera, Tee and Alex got us into the icebreaker called trees and fire; I think. It really got us going. Try and imagine. :) We are trees. We are protecting a squirrel. FIRE! RUNNN! EARTHQUAKE! RUNN! AHhhh!

Seeing who has the longest lineeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Okay, back to here. :) Then we got into our groups. That really bonded us. We had many games!
We had to make our own slogans, cheers and skit.

A whole bunch of people on a newspaper! :O

At night, brother Abel shared an inspiring message relating to superheroes. You should have been there!

Then we were awoken from our beauty sleeps at 4.00 a.m.! Just to play a ymsterious game, to find the murderer! We ran everywhere for clues! The murderer was... Emily! :O

Back to sleep. Zzzzzzzzz.:p

Next morning, we woke up later than expected :P

Nothing like a hot cup of Milo in the early morning hours.

It was a tough match I can tell you.

Everyone was running around!

What would a sleepover be without water games? :D Each team had a representative wearing a 'life' board. Each team has to take care of their cone and try to wet the other team's life board while their team is also trying to snatch the opposite's cone!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who turned up for our Makan on the 27th. A BIG THANK YOU to those who broughgt food. We managed the crowd. No one went home hungry. I HOPE. Thank you for everyone who helped out, i can't list all the names cause I don't know who for sure, but may God bless you all. And thank you for helping us to make this event a success. No one fought or argued, no one cut(ed) lines. SO THANK YOU. Response was overwhelming. Really appreciate the support from fellow Leos, Interacts, Ecos and etc. also. Thank you guys for coming!

WHAT IS EASTER?

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.
Christians believe, according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Just a little something I found:

Straining to see the distant horizon, I squinted my eyes in an effort to catch sight of the person I was waiting for. A thousand thoughts raced through my mind: Does she know where to get off the train? Did she understand my directions? My heart pumped faster as the seconds ticked by. Finally, the person I so wanted to see came into view! In that split second, anxiety was replaced by gladness.

That experience reminds me of the parable of the lost son. The father was waiting for his son’s return. Every day, he would take his vigil at the outpost—looking for the young man he loved. And while the son was “still along way off, his father saw him coming” (Luke 15:20).

Can you imagine what the father must have been doing to catch a glimpse of the young man at such a great distance? Perhaps he had positioned himself on high ground so that he could see further. Or perhaps he was trying hard to keep his eyes opened despite his weariness.

We don’t know exactly what he was doing, but his efforts paid off. He caught sight of his son while the young man was still far away. And when he saw him, “he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him” (Luke 15:20). The father ran.

In those days, running was considered undignified for the family patriarch, but this father was full of unbridled joy. Jesus told this parable to help the religious leaders— as well as us—understand God’s heart for the lost and the joy He experiences when they return.

Do we share our Father’s heart? In Luke 19:10, Jesus states His personal mission statement. He said, “The Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” What distance are we willing to go to see the lost come home to Jesus?

HEY GUYS!! It's been a while. IT'S A NEW YEAR and yes.. we have all grown physically, mentally and spiritually. Let us all rekindle that flame we had last year and spread like wildfire throughout the school, sticking out like sore thumbs in our classes and shining His light on the people around us. Here are a few announcements.

1) CF sign up is this THURSDAY!! That's right. Do come and sign up for cf this Thursday and do bring your friends along. Lets increase in both quantity and quality.

2) Prayer meet every morning of school is at 7.00 am til the bell rings. Please do come and join us for a time of prayer and occasionally Worship.

Today, we had a very fun time of games.

We were split into our departments and we played 'BOM BOM'

After that, the remaining departments were required to send 4 representatives each to compete in a battle of 'Dum Dum Dee'. Here's the video below:

As most of you know, next Friday is Good Friday. So, the CF will be preparing something special for you guys. If you wanna find out, then you gotta come this Friday.

Other than that, most churches will be having a very special Easter presentaion too. We have heard from City Harvest Church so far:

Of Loves and Flowers...

V' Day

It's the time of the year where love begins to be in the air. And to express the CF's love for the people of the school. We have decided to make some wonderful gifts for them.

Nothing much, just some flower lollipops to sweeten their Valentine's day. Take a look at where we have gone so far:

Firstly, we cut the coloured papers into shapes of flower petals and leaves.

Then, they are paste together to form a full flower.

Add on a note.

And 'poof', the end product.

Somehow, somewhere there were tonnes of these in the store room. So, why throw it when you can give out?

Testimony from our prayer leader, Tzi Ying:
"When I was Form 1, my friend invited me to go for camp but I did not want to go because I was not a member in CF yet and I was scared that I can't fit in or find any friends there. When I was Form 2, the same thing happen. When I was Form 3, I finally joined CF and I went for CF Camp that year. I tell you, it was one of THE BEST CAMP I've ever attended, and I tell you, I am SUPER EXCITED for CF Camp 2010 ! :D I did not need to fit in because CF is like a family and I made new great friends! I am really really sad because I missed going to camp when I was Form 1 and Form 2.. So no matter how young you are, especially if you're Form 1 and 2, I really really encourage you to come for camp!

You will LOVE camp so much and trust me, God will work so GREAT! :) You will never be the same again! In a super-duper-awesome way! :D"

The title says it all. No more sayings or words or anything like,

"Wha? Huh? What's it for? When? Har?"

We get ourselves right. We get our identity right. We get our hearts right. Our mindsets all right and back to God.

Why? Ask yourself, not me.

Wait. Scratch that, don't ask yourself. Cause man alone knows nothing. Man alone when does something out of his own strength, FAILS.

Well, it might seem like you're doing just fine right now, maybe even doing well. But you know what? It ain't gonna last long. In the end your not going to be happy and joyful with all you've got.

Cause that missing piece in your heart, that huge gaping hole, is yet to be filled. Maybe at one time it was, with God and his love. But you see people, that his love can only remain there if you continue to allow it to be there.

If you accept God, you accept his salvation and love and mercy he has to offer you, you will eternally have joy in your life.

IF YOU CONTINUE TO LET GOD LIVE AND WORK IN YOU.

Sorry I had to put it that way and perhaps scare you, but hey, I think there is a need of us to be aware of what we are before God.

Do you love God? Put up your hand if you do.

Not that I can see it, but its fun, and cool anyway. Besides, it shows God that you're not ashamed of being a Christian, of bearing his name. Gosh it'll be so cool for someone to read this in a CC and put up your hand. These small things show that you aren't ashamed of the true BIG God we have.

Why are we let down by the world?

That...I can't answer.

But I can tell you this. God NEVER lets you down. Never lets anyone down. If we all just have the faith, the love, and reach out to him as he is reaching out to us.

Is it about time we realise that this life we live has more to than just studying and pleasing friends and family?

Yes it is.

Our one true purpose in life, I believe, is that we obey God.

Seriously, it might not seem much to you, but its so gladly true. When we obey, we show that we submit ourselves to him.

God can say RIGHT NOW to you that, "Hey, don't eat that hokkien mee later" or something random like that.

We obey, and why?

Not cause its just GOD that asks us to.

But because we love God. Am I right?

Well I certainly do. And sometimes God gives us this tasks, some that we feel are too BIG for us to do.

There are times when there's a feeling in your heart that is telling you to go that extra mile, even if you don't want to.

Go, say hello to that "weird" person.

Don't let the lonely people be lonely.

Don't let the deserted be deserted.

We're the salt and light of the earth no?

Then how can we shine if we do just the same thing as everyone else?

What LIGHT is there to shine if we're the same? Where's the difference in us?

Salt is no use when not used. Seriouslyyyyyy...

Maybe you love God.

You definitely do.

But can you truly say you put him number ONE in your life?

To those who say yes, I've got a few questions for you.

1.When a very hot/awesome/whatever you look for in a guy/girl asks you out for a date. And you know that its a once in a lifetime thing. It clashes with Church. Just another service. Would you ditch church?

2.When eating out, do you pray before eating? And if you do, do you pray it out LOUD for the restaurant to hear? I know a few people who do. And i truly respect them. I have yet to reach that level of faith.I want that faith so bad. If we put God first in our life, we wont care about what people think of us. We wont care about pleasures to ourselves but just living a life that pleases God.

I hope that this short message just really sends a message across. There's more I can say, but it'll be for later.

Please, don't just read this blog and do nothing about it.

Love our CF, love our God.

Cause we all do this for him. Nothing else.

Bible Knowledge Quiz This Saturday

Just a small announcement, for those going for the Bible Knowledge quiz this Saturday, please be at school slightly before or by 7am!

Trip To Orphanage

Two Fridays ago, a few of our CF members took a trip to an orphanage - City Revival Church Home to bless them and they had a lot of fun! :)

Peer Pressure: Word Week

Hello!

Yesterday's CF was just awesome. Worship was awesome especially during the song Sanctuary by City Harvest Church.Yes? :D

Yesterday was Word Week. The speaker of the day was our very own Jonathan Ong from 4B! It his first time and it was good. Applause everyone. *applauses

A brief recap of what he shared about.

Topic: Peer Pressure
Scriptures related: Mark 6:14-29 (the beheading of John The Baptist)
The passage briefly speak about King Herod being pressured to bring John The Baptist's head for his Herodias's daughter! The hardest thing was that he respected John the Baptist at that time yet he was so pressured that he didn't want to lose face to everyone, at the end he gave in to the pressure and really beheaded John the Baptist.
Everyone will face this kind of peer pressure in their life. From the smallest things to the biggest things, the only way to know what to do is to read the bible, pray to God and trust in Him ya :)
The main question that you should always ask yourself constantly is: Do you want to be accepted by doing the wrong things or not accepted by doing the right things?

Peer Pressure: Games Week

Hey everyone! :D
Yes. CF today was GAMES and we had a blast yup.

Recap: 1st game -

Yes! Tennis ball.

Remember how we had to throw the tennis ball across to the other side for our team mates? And many times the other person could not get the ball so the team have to start all over again from square one. Yes, many of you got frustrated. Heh.

But the main point is as the topic today - Peer Pressure: Friendship is really a give and take thing. You have to give just all your heart, effort, time and everything into your friendship - and so you take the same from your other friend. It will be hard, yes! You'll get frustrated too(just like the game) But this give and take will really let your friendship grow to be an awesome happy strong one :)

Alright. Second game! :D

Hahaha yes. We ate bitter gourd, watermelon sweets, some jeruk thingy(lol), coffee, lime juice and a few more for the second game. It was horrible kan. The bitter gourd tasted bitter..... (well obviously?), and yet the watermelon sweets was sweet and yummy yum :D

Just like friendship - Friendship has bitter moments, sweet moments, salty moments, sour moments, plain moments - same like all the food that we ate. But that's why no matter what moment you're in, you have to really keep the friendship strong. Don't just be with your friend when everything is good, and leave your friend when he/she needs help the most. Real friendship is when no matter bitter or sweet moments, you and your friend will still be with each other, supporting and pulling each other through till the end :)

So yes. We hope everyone have fun today and don't forget - the hot hot sun, the tennis ball, the funny taste food and most importantly remember this message about Peer Pressure. No matter how hard a friendship will be, God will help you and your friend through too :)

Recess Revolution

Our CF is supporting Recess Revolution and we'll be doing it on every Thursday during Recess! :D

JoBen actually has already started Recess Revo with the Form 5's and Form 3's quite some time ago. Awesome! For the Form 4's and Form 6's, don't worry we'll be having Recess Revo for the first time tomorrow during recess and please come join us ya :D

Hey everyone! Yes. Finally. The CF of SMK Seafield has a blog! :D Happy to have you reading now. People!! Spread the word about this blog ya! :D You can link us up at your blog too.

Thanks to God and our lovely seniors, we are truly blessed that our CF has been official for many years now.

Who are we? : ) Check out our past year pictures..

This was CF Camp 2007.

This was CF Camp 2008.

This was when Pastor Andy Yeoh came to speak during April 2009, recently, for our Court Case.

It was truly amazing when that particular day we had 35 salvations and 27 re-dedications! Praise The Lord! :) All of us really did not expect it and it's really really crazy and amazing how God has worked! It was such a shocking yet wonderful sight seeing those hands lifted up during the response.

When Pastor Andy was asking for a response, I was hiding my head on my knees and praying, crying to God, "Surely there must be one or two person! God please one or two! Please God, please!" And then when I looked up. Lo and behold. It wasn't one. It wasn't two. It was 35 hands of salvation and 27 re-dedication! See how Great God is! He moved way beyond any of our expectations. After everything, everyone was just smiling with joy of how awesome God is :D But let us not forget how great God has worked and how even greater He wants to move in CF. Not only in our CF I believe, but all the CF's!!! Let us take that step ahead now for Him. The. time. is. now.
